"Last night, our mate, and Crowded House drummer Paul Hester took his own life."
"Over the years Paul has swung the extremes of happiness and sadness, but none of us ever thought this would happen. He loved life too much, and it really seems like a bad dream that we hope we'll wake up from tomorrow."
- Peter Green, President of the Split Enz and Crowded House fanclub

A picture taken from a helicopter shows another helicopter, bottom left, flying near Switzerland's most famous mountain, the Matterhorn near Zermatt, as it is illuminated by Swiss light artist Gerry Hofstetter on Wednesday, March 16, 2005. Hofstetter used two helicopters to project images and words on the precipices of the Matterhorn. With his action Hofstetter tries to draw attention to global warming and the regression of the glaciers. The spectacle lasted for about 30 minutes. (AP Photo/Keystone, Denis Emery)

See! My "World Wide Database of the World" idea is coming to fruition: a video camera controlled by the eyes. Weve seen stuff like this years ago with eye-scanning viewfinders that track focal points, but this working prototype developed at Munichs Ludwig-Maximilians University does full camera movement. It is expected to have applications for psychology and market research not to mention the obvious fashion uptake we can expect from it.

Subaru makes it two in a row at Mexico! Subaru driver Solberg picked up his second win of the season ahead of Peugeot drivers Marcus Gronholm of Finland and Markko Martin of Estonia with reigning world champion Sebastien Loeb of France, in a Citroen Xsara, taking fourth spot. Solberg said the victory was the perfect way to honour the memory of Ryuichiro Kuze. Kuze, the founding president of Subaru Tecnica International and the man responsible for leading the company into rallying, died in Japan on Wednesday
