The force is strong in this one...
...part of the Jedi training involves jungle camouflage assignments... No, but really... saw the boy this weekend. He has really blossomed in the last few months. He is speaking a *lot* more... He knows all the animals (except he calls sheep a "baa"). He knows "big" things. He loves sticks especially "bik stids" (big sticks) and "bik gucks". We still havent worked out colors (everything is white). Hes the cutest boy in the whoooole world. I lugged 500 tons of toys up to Tamworth and we spent an hour digging a hole with my (one and only) spoon. Kids! :)

Real reality TV... Media gets so close to this case that I feel like I am in the court room. You cant help but feel for this girl, guilty or not, a 20 year prison sentence has got to hit you hard. Why do we care about Schapelle? Because we *know* about Schapelle. How many other people are in that prison that shouldnt be there? One thing Ive learnt over time is that the system is "Just"... but its certainly not "Fair"...

U2 using Mobile I.T. to fight AIDS and poverty
Anyone who's been to a rock concert lately knows that the old days of holding up lighters during ballads has been replaced by the more modern, high-tech glow of the cell phone. But the Irish band U2 has taken mobile communications to a whole other level--and for a great cause... InformationWeek Weblog Also, check out the ONE Campaign at http://www.one.org

QUITO, Ecuador (Reuters) - A volcano spewed ash and lava onto part of the ecologically delicate Galapagos Islands on Friday, threatening to kill vegetation and some animals on the island of Fernandina, officials said.
The islands, of the coast of Ecuador, are considered one of the most important natural preserves in the world.
"Evidently a lot of vegetation will be burned and some animals, especially iguanas, will die," Galapagos National Park Director Washington Tapia told Reuters.
"But considering that Fernandina is the most pristine island of the archipelago, we don't have to worry much. This is a natural process," he said.
No humans live on Fernandina, the westernmost island in the formation. The volcano, also called Fernandina, shot a column of ash and gas 7 kilometers (4.3 miles) into the air while lava descended its banks.
The lava could reach the Pacific Ocean in five days, Tapia said. Sea lions, penguins and bullfinches also live on Fernandina.

Oil Cooled PC
via SlashDot, JaredOfEuropa writes "Forget fancy watercooled CPUs or complicated heat pipes. Annoyed with the noise of the forced-air cooling in his computer, this guy simply dumped his entire motherboard in an aquarium filled with mineral oil. (coral cache). No modifications were necessary; he even left the fans running to keep the oil moving about. The only thing not submersed in oil is the hard disk."

For rob... I won another cloth badge because im good at running around in the bush. I got a bronze order of merit for my performance in the 2004 Orienteering season. A food hamper or some petrol would have been nice. But i guess i can use the badge to cover the holes in my tattered clothes... Should have taken golf lessons...

Yes. That fire exit sign is made of cardboard. Guess what i am working on site for a client i first worked at 10 years ago. They have a mascot. His name is raymond. Not everybody loves raymond. The offices are in one of those massive sterile industrial estates where everything is placed just so. It looks like a 1:1 scale model of itself. The real trees were selected because they look fake. There is a shuttle bus to the oh so fashionable mall where all the drones migrate to for sustenance. I am jacks diminished sense of individuality. All is well in our little world. As long as we keep working the company will provide us with defence from the dangers lurking on the outside. We need not be alarmed that we are surrounded by wasteland of criminal activity or that the site was previously a chemical dumping ground... Just keep working... And smiling... But mostly working...
