iTunes and PodCasting

OK, iTunes 4.9 is out and it supposedly supports Podcasts. Now Podcasts were named because the iPod was the place to listen to them and if youve got an iPod youve got iTunes. Therefore its logical that iTunes should support Poscasts. Right? The sloppy 4.9 release of iTunes really demonstrates just how Microsoft-like Apple are becomming. They are moving to intel. They release iTunes for the PC. They stuff up the software and at the end of the day we lose. 4.9 does not (as far as I can see) support OPML thus if you want to move off your old podcast manager you have to enter each cast one by one. Secondly, it is really hard to tell what the hell is going on it there is an error. Thirdly the options for retrieval are very limited and apply to all podcasts (there is no individual customisation available). Fourthly and this is quite possibly the most telling attribute of 4.9, the freakin date sort heading doesnt sort by date. You can click it, the sort arrow changes but nothing else happens!!! It sorts within a podcast but doesnt sort at the top level. Man, even I wouldnt code anything this crap. I guess you get what you pay for.
